This week I have finally jumped into a few new projects; the time is right, I’ve already taken action and I’ve had a sensational week since starting to make this transition. It’s not that I haven’t wanted to do more of this sooner; it’s not that I have any doubts about the changes going forward BUT when you have branded yourself as a ‘Travel Guru’ for almost thirty years it can be a little challenging to make the change. Time to practise what I preach and teach… pushing through the fears and all that jazz!
Am I still a ‘Travel & Event Guru’? Hell, yes!
Have I stopped selling travel and events? Hell, no!
But the reality is that we are currently living in a different world, and that’s going to be the case for a while. I’m in the fortunate position to currently have minimal overheads, flexibility to be there for my travel and events clients as and when required, and a client portfolio that is ready to travel when things change (and they will). I’m embracing what’s happening around me right now and let’s face it, no one has been able to travel internationally or in large groups since March, and that’s not changing anytime soon.
Many of you know me as SHINE Business Women, which is thriving and will continue to do so… people LOVE what we are offering and I love all that we stand for. For years now, people have asked me to assist them with projects, business development and planning, and some have asked me to write awards submissions for them, where to find grants… the list is endless, and it’s no secret that I love to write!
So this week, I have taken a leap of faith and have started saying ‘YES’ because now I do have the time, I’ve always had the passion, I really do love to write and I love to support women in particular in business.
I am in the process of re-branding the ‘Zoë Sparks’ social media handles to reflect an array of new business services on offer. The website will come (as it is still centred around my books right now) as at the moment I’m a little busy writing Media Releases, blogs, speeches and all types of content for women in a variety of businesses… and I am pumped and excited!
